Although Uhrichsville is our hometown, Dennison has always been a great neighbor. A great town with great officials and great residents! We are proud to service this area!

Here are some fun facts about Dennison, Ohio:

• 🚂 It was once one of America’s busiest railroad towns. At the height of the railroad era, more than 3,000 people worked in Dennison’s massive rail yards, and around 42 trains (21 passenger and 21 freight) passed through daily. 
• 🌎 It’s exactly halfway between Pittsburgh and Columbus. Steam locomotives needed water about every 100 miles, making Dennison the perfect refueling stop and helping the town grow into a major railroad hub. 
• 🇺🇸 It earned the nickname “Dreamsville, U.S.A.” During World War II, the Dennison Depot Salvation Army Canteen served more than 1.3 million U.S. service members traveling by train. Grateful soldiers gave the village its famous nickname. 
• 🪖 The WWII canteen was legendary. Volunteers provided free coffee, sandwiches, doughnuts, and a warm welcome to troops 24 hours a day from 1942 to 1946, making it one of the most famous military canteens in the country. 
• 🚉 The historic depot is still standing. Today, the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum preserves the town’s railroad history with restored rail cars, exhibits, and special train events throughout the year. 
• 🤝 It’s one of Ohio’s “Twin Cities.” Dennison and neighboring Uhrichsville have grown together over the years and share schools, businesses, and a rich history.
