Here are some fun facts about Midvale, Ohio:

• 🏘️ Its name is literal. Midvale was named because it’s located almost exactly halfway between New Philadelphia and Uhrichsville, making it the “middle” of the valley. 
• 📜 It’s been around since 1888. The village was officially platted in 1888 and has remained a close-knit community for well over a century. 
• 🌄 It’s nestled in the Tuscarawas Valley. Midvale sits in the scenic Tuscarawas River Valley, surrounded by rolling hills that are especially beautiful during the fall. 
• 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 It’s one of Tuscarawas County’s smallest villages. Despite covering less than one square mile, Midvale has a strong sense of community and hometown pride, with around 670 residents. 
• 🎓 Students attend Indian Valley schools. Children from Midvale are part of the Indian Valley Local School District, which serves several nearby communities. 
• 🗺️ It spans three townships. Although it’s a small village, Midvale extends into Goshen, Mill, and Warwick Townships, something not many Ohio villages do. 
• ⚾ A Major League Baseball player called Midvale home. Former MLB outfielder Frank Baumholtz, who played for the Cubs, Reds, and Phillies during the 1940s and 1950s, was born in Midvale. 
• ❤️ Small town, big community. Midvale is known locally for its friendly neighbors, community events, and quiet residential atmosphere, making it a great example of small-town life in eastern Ohio.
